Welcome!

The Bruton Parish community is delighted to welcome newcomers into our parish family. Below you will find a few ideas to get you involved in the life of our parish.  For more information, you can contact the Church Office (757-229-2891) or please complete a Newcomers Information form.

During The Sunday Service

Newcomers and visitors are asked to take a moment to complete the card form in the blue folder at the end of the pew and drop it in the offertory plate or hand it to an usher. Once our Membership Coordinator receives this information, a letter and Newcomer Packet will be sent to you. Completing and returning the enclosed forms let us better assist you in becoming a part of our parish family.

Newcomer Gatherings

From time-to-time, Bruton's Newcomer Committee host Newcomer Receptions in the Parish Hall. This is a great time to gather with our members, clergy, and vestry. 

Volunteer Opportunities

There are always opportunities to be a part of one of our many ministries. All are great ways to meet people with similar spiritual and ministry interests and make new friends. Please click our Time & Talent Inventory.

Confirmation/Reaffirmation/Reception

Classes are offered yearly to prepare parishioners (new and old) to be formally received and confirmed in the Episcopal Church at the Bishop’s yearly visit.  For more information on confirmation classes, contact the Parish Life Coordinator.
